I am a native of Umuomaku in Orumba South LGA, married to Eziukwu-Ezihe in Isiala Mbano LGA. I graduated from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where I did my first, second and third degrees. I am an awardee of TWAS-DFG cooperation visit for 2019. I am currently a Reader in the Department of Soil Science and Land Resources Management of Nnamdi Azikiwe, Awka, Nigeria. I am a registered soil scientist (RSS) and presently, the Principal Implementing Partner (PIP) for Southern Nigeria, for Pillar 1 in Ecological Organic Agriculture, Nigeria, representing Nnamdi Azikiwe University. I am a member of the Soil Science Society of Nigeria (SSSN), National Institute of Soil Science (NISS), International Union of Soil Science (IUSS) and International Soil Tillage Research Organization (ISTRO), Chattered Institute of Agriculture of Nigeria (CIAN), Women Academia in agriculture/Women Vanguard Against Rural Poverty (WAIA), Climate Change Intelligence Cope (CCIC), Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN) and the Ecological Organic Agriculture Initiative (EOAI). I am a strong advocate of organic agriculture and a train-the-trainer (TOT) in organic agriculture.
I am a soil conservationist with particular interest in carbon sequestration and dynamics, erosion control and environmental management. I am an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Organic Agriculture and Development (IJOARD): Plant and Soil; and a Business Editor of the International Journal of Agriculture, Food and Biodiversity (IJAFAB) as well as the editor-in -chief for Journal of Organic Agriculture Research and Innovation. I am a mentor in the African Women Leadership for Agro-ecology (AWOLA), anchored in NOAN (NOAN-AWOLA-Nigeria).Presently the UniZik coordinator for Agricultural Research and Innovation Fellowship for Africa (ARIFA)since 2022 as well as the Faculty Focal lead (FFL) for ARIFA-TETFUND, UniZik.
