Oluyemi Ayorinde Samuel is a lecturer in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. He specializes in industrial design (Graphic design option). He received the Operation Fix Nigeria Millennium Scholarship in 2000. He also received the Award of the Federal Government Scholarship to study Industrial Design in 2016. Having graduated with distinction in Graphics, he started lecturing as an assistant lecturer in 2020. Over the years, he has been teaching book design/production, typography, design layout, hand lettering, basic drawing, advanced drawing, publicity design, package design and to mention a few. He is a member of the international Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS), the Nigerian Association of Graphic Designer (NAGD), the Arts Council of the African Studies Association (ACASA), and the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE). Consumers' behaviour, branding, design thinking, product package design, product semantics, naming, semiotics and to mention a few are interesting research areas to him. He has published articles in journals such as the Environmental Research and Technology, Art and Design Studies, International Journal of Multidisciplinary and Allied Studies, Journal of Design Studio, Gazi University Journal of Science, and the EuroMed Journal of Management between 2018 and 2023.
