Lady Susan Ebele Ofora

Staff Profile

My name is Ebele Ofora, a Technologist (II) at the Faculty of Biosciences, Department of Applied Microbiology and Brewing but was later redeployed to the Biosciences Central laboratory (BCL). Before joining the University, I was a Programme expert and independent consultant. I have worked with a reputable Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) for international development partners in various capacities ranging from a project officer to Programme manager in different programmes.

As a Programme Officer and later Manager, I have been involved in planning, implementation and evaluation as well as data collection (using both quantitative and qualitative methods) and analysis in several project activities. I have successfully designed and implemented project interventions in the different positions I held. This has led to the issuance of letters of commendation and appreciation respectively from the organization for these achievements.

As an Independent consultant, I have  consulted for  different Management Consultancy firms and NGOs namely; Abt Associates under the Partnership for Transforming Health systems 2 (PATHS 2), a United Kingdom Agency for International Development (UKAID) supported programme on health sector reforms, Palladium International Development under the Voices for Change (V4C) programme supported by Department for International Development (DFID) etc.

I can work efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision as well as support multiple simultaneous projects. I equally work effectively independently as well as with a team. I am also adaptable to challenging situations. I have very good facilitation, leadership, organizational, decision-making, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.  I am a reliable, honest, responsible and hard-working person. I am proficient in the use of Microsoft Office: MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint.
