I am a media sociologist whose interests span across seldom heard groups and the many intersections that complicate concepts such as inclusion, identity and belonging. My primary interest over the years have been disabled people and how the media represents disabilities. I have researched the social implications of media representation in films, various online media and traditional media such as newspapers and magazines. I hold in PhD in Media and Communication from the University of Leicester, UK.
