MY PROFILE IN BREIF  I am Professor Godwin Onu mni, (Member National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies Kuru, Senior Executive Course 39)  A native of Ezira in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.  My research interest is in Public Administration and Governance, Federalism, ethnic studies and democratization as well as Information and Communication Studies in Administration.  I am a graduate of the University of Ibadan Nigeria where I obtained BSc (Hons) in Political Science, MSc Political Science and Ph.D. in the same discipline.  I am Married with Children.  I taught at the Federal Polytechnic Oko between 1987 and May 1992 where I rose to the rank of Lecturer 1 and Coordinator Social Sciences  I joined the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in May 1992 as Lecturer 1  Senior Lecturer on October 1, 1996  Ag HOD Political Science –October 6, 1998  Ag Director Consultancy Services Unit- 2001  Reader- October 1, 2002  Appointment as a Professor, -October 1, 2004  Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, September 2008  Rector Federal Polytechnic Oko-2010 to 2018  The First Rector since the inception of that Institution to complete two tenures of four years each.  In 2017, the President, and Commander in-Chief of Armed Forces, President Muhammad Buhari approved my nomination by the National Board for Technical Education to attend, The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (mni) Kuru 2017  I am member of many Professional and Academic Bodies  I have publications in Local and international books and Journals and edited and published some books.  I published in the Encyclopedia of Digital Governance  Funds attracted.  260 Million Naira for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Federal Polytechnic Oko  250 Million Naira for School of Agricultural Technology, Ufuma Campus of the Federal Polytechnic Oko  500 Million for Hospitality Management Extension for Federal Polytechnic Oko  200 Million Naira for Mass communication Complex and Food Technology Complexes for Federal Polytechnic Oko  I also attracted 40 feet Container of Medical Equipment to equip the Medical Center I built as the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko  20 Million Naira for the Polytechnic Tower  50 Million Naira for Classroom Bloc at Atani Campus of the Federal Polytechnic Oko  12 big Cartons of books for the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2005 from the Rotary Club of Edmonton Canada  External Examiner  I have been an external Examiner to Many Polytechnics and Universities and have consulted for many bodies and organizations, including Tetfund and ICPC  I have equally attended many international and local conferences as well as training programmes as contained in my CV  I was the first to introduce Computer Based Test Examination (CBT) among the Polytechnics in Nigeria aimed at arresting indiscipline enthroning integrity in examinations and ensuring quick release of results to Students.  As the Rector Federal Polytechnic Oko, I signed MoU with many international bodies and Higher Institution:  Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI), Israel  PHYWE – Lucas Nuelle Group of Companies, Germany  Sharda University, Greater Noida India  Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak (MP), India  Prestige INSTITUTE OF Management and Research, Indore, India  Doctor HarisinghGour University, Sagar (MP) India  Waterford Institute, Ireland and others  Chairman, Committee of Federal Rectors (COFER) of Nigeria  Board Member West African Examination Council (WAEC)  I have also rendered Community Service and recognized by Orumba North and South Local Government Councils and Traditional Rulers with Awards.  I have Certificate of Proficiency by AfriHUB ICT Solutions for Africa on successful completion of courses in Computer Appreciation and Internet Utility (CAI),  Computer Fundamentals, Internet Applications, Windows XP, Microsoft Office Word 2003, Microsoft Office Excel 2003 and Microsoft Office Power Point 2003 on June 6, 2007  Professor Onu has traveled to at least 20 Countries in the World
