Onyinyechi Felicity Abiakwu hails from Umuezeoshi, Umuaham, Ozara, Mbutu, Aboh Mbaise LGA, Imo State, Nigeria. She is currently a Lecturer of Philosophy of Education in the department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She is the first female Philosophy of Education Lecturer in the above department of the above mentioned institution. She has taught as a primary and secondary school teacher for a cumulative of 10 years before being appointed as a Lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in the year 2020.
She had her Bachelors Degree in Education/Religion at the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria, while her Master (M.Ed) and Doctorate (Ph.D) Degrees were bagged at the Unique University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
As a promising young Lecturer, she has been astute and active in the process of teaching, research and supervision of undergraduate students of different academic programmes in the University. She has attended several academic conferences and workshops and belongs to some committees at both the department and faculty levels.
She has written some scholarly articles that have been published in both International and National Journals.
Her area of Specialization is Philosophy of Education with particular interest in Feminism, Gender studies, Women Education and Empowerment, Ethics and Epistemology.
Onyinyechi Felicity Abiakwu is a devout Christian who has contributed immensely to the service of God and humanity.
