Dr. Obianuju Blessing Mokwelu is a Lecturer in Counselling Psychology in the Department of Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, Nnamdi Azikiwe University. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology and has extensive academic and professional experience in guidance and counselling, mental health, educational psychology, and psychosocial interventions. Dr. Mokwelu has contributed significantly to research and scholarly publications in areas such as academic self-concept, adolescent mental health, parenting styles, marital adjustment, counselling strategies, and students’ psychosocial development. She has served in several academic and administrative capacities within the university, including Departmental Secretary, Chairman of the Welfare Committee, and member of various departmental and faculty committees. She is an active member of professional bodies such as the Counselling Association of Nigeria and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, and has participated in numerous national and international conferences, workshops, and professional development programmes.
