Dr. Chioma Chetachukwu Ajator is a Senior Lecturer /Honorary Consultant Public Health Physician in the Department of Community Medicine and Primary Health Care of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She has special interest in Health Management, Environmental Health, Adolescent Health, Health Promotion and Education.
She was awarded the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in January 2010. She further had a Master of Public Health from Walden University, Minnesota, U.S.A in August 2018 and then obtained the Fellowship of West African College of Physicians (FWACP) in Community Health in October 2019.
She has over thirty research articles published in both Local and International Indexed Peer- Review Journals. She is currently serving the institution in several capacities including Post Graduate Co-ordinator, UNIZIk Strategic Plan Development Committee, Male Hostel Warden CHS NAU Nnewi, Exam officer in the Department of Community Medicine, Member Provost of College of Health Sciences’ Committee on Environmental Sanitation, NAU COVID-19 Monitoring Team, and NAU Inaugural Lecture Committee.
She is the Deputy Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (Community Liasion and Outreach Services), NAUTH Nnewi. She was the past Head, Comprehensive Health Center Ukpo. She is the Co-chair, Nigeria Implementation Science Alliance Organizing Committee. She is a member of several academic societies including:
1) the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria where she served as Chairman, Scientific/ Continuing Medical Education Committee of the Anambra state branch,
2) State Executive Council member Nigerian Medical Association Anambra state- 2017 till date.
3) Past Anambra State President and member of, National Executive Council of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (2017-2021).
4) West African College of Physicians
5) Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, NAUTH chapter.
She has a culture of passion, innovation, and selflessness in service and this has been rewarded by her receipt of the Service above Self award from the Rotary Club of Awka GRA, February 2021.
