Dr. Chioma Chetachukwu Ajator is a Lecturer /Honorary Consultant Public Health Physician in the Department of Community Medicine and Primary Health Care of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She has special interest in Health Management, Environmental Health, Adolescent Health, Health Promotion and Education.
She was awarded the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in January 2010. She further had a Master of Public Health from Walden University, Minnesota, U.S.A in August 2018 and then obtained the Fellowship of West African College of Physicians (FWACP) in Community Health in October 2019.
She has over a dozen research articles published in both Local and International Indexed Peer- Review Journals. She is currently serving the institution in several capacities including Exam officer in the Department of Community Medicine, Member Provost of College of Health Sciences’ Committee on Environmental Sanitation, NAU COVID-19 Monitoring Team, and NAU Inaugural Lecture Committee.
She is a member of several academic societies including the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria where she is serving as Chairman, Scientific/ Continuing Medical Education Committee of the Anambra state branch, and State Executive Council member Nigerian Medical Association Anambra state- 2017 till date. She is also the current Anambra State President and member of, National Executive Council of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (2017 till date).
She has a culture of passion, innovation, and selflessness in service and this has been rewarded by her receipt of the Service above Self award from the Rotary Club of Awka GRA, February 2021.
