Miss. Chidimma Chisom Umeogu

Staff Profile

I am an accomplished geospatial analyst with a robust academic foundation and extensive research experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and environmental science. My research endeavors currently revolve around modeling vegetation sensitivity and river basin dynamics concerning climate variables. Leveraging GIS and Remote Sensing technologies, I analyze land use changes, bio-meteorology, water resources management, and climatology. My commitment to advancing environmental science is underscored by the application of cutting-edge geospatial techniques, programming languages, and innovative data analysis methods to address complex environmental challenges. Moreover, I am actively exploring the development of cloud computing applications, aiming to streamline and facilitate research, providing convenient access and collaborative tools for the scientific community. My prospective research areas are geared towards enhancing the application of geospatial technologies for climate change assessment, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable environmental management. This research is guided by a broader scientific objective, with the intention of making significant contributions to the field of geospatial analysis and environmental science.
