Augustine Onwunduba obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Global Health Policy from The University of Edinburgh, UK, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. His master’s programme was funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the British government through the Chevening scholarship programme. He is currently a Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Management at Nnamdi Azikiwe University’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is generally interested in epidemiology and clinical research. In 2021, he received a grant from RSTMH, UK, in partnership with NIHR, UK, to assess the potential of point-of-care C-reactive protein testing intervention to improve practices regarding non-prescription dispensing of antibiotics for respiratory tract infections in private community pharmacies in Nigeria. Prior to joining Nnamdi Azikiwe University, he worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and as a Consumer Safety Officer at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
