Ifunanya Rita Igboanugo is a lecturer at the Department of Geography and Meteorology, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. She received her BSc and MSc from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Nigeria and Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield United Kingdom in 2012 and 2016 respectively. Before her current position, Ifunanya worked as a software quality assurance tester where she gained experience in software testing with a research and development tech company (Netop Business Systems). She is a specialist in Geospatial technologies (Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, and Drone) and has a substantial experience in Computer programming languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, SQL). She is an expert in software testing for quality assurance. Ifunanya's research interests are Geospatial technologies, transportation, smart cities, pollution, disasters and climate change. She teaches GIS, Urban and Regional Planning, Transport and Environment and Physical Geography. She is also a member of the Renewable and Alternative Energy Society of Nigeria(REASON).
