Staff Profile
Dr. Okoye is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nnewi Campus. He is the winner of the Merck Foundation's "Best Young African Researcher Award on Cancer and Vaccine Development" (2021). He is also a recipient of the American Association for Cancer Research's Global Scholar-in-Training Award (2022). He is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. His current research is on ethnic-based characterization of epithelial and stromal compartments in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and liver cancer using spatial transcriptomics.
