An Environmental Geologist and Geochemist, enthusiastic and motivated research scholar with a background in Environmental geology from Doctor of Philosophy degree, hydrogeochemistry from Master of Philosophy degree, hydrogeology from Master’s degree and a first degree in geology, undertook several research that improved understanding of pollutants in soils and water for heavy metals, and impact on human health. In addition to a completed research on the processes controlling contaminant’s mobility in urban soil, and mining wastes with
relation to the human ecosystems (hydrology).
My profile has developed through a number of interdisciplinary collaborative researches / projects working both locally and internationally. Research funding and travel grant obtained from several sources, including national and international research foundations. I have a strong profile of external engagement, and experience working at the interface between Higher Education and industry, in Scotland, and Nigeria. Previous panel participant for research students at Enhancement-Led Institutional Review (ELIR) at UWS in 2014 sustained good rating for the University.
