Barr. Obinna Frank Okeke, FIMC,MICMC,CMS(Lond.),MILA, is a distinguished Nigerian Legal Practitioner, Dispute Resolution Consultant, and Management Specialist with extensive experience spanning public service, private practice, institutional governance, and dispute resolution. He hails from Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. He attended Total Child School, Awka and Redemption Model School, Awka, graduating with Distinction in the State Unified First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and serving as Class Captain and School Captain/Head Prefect. He thereafter proceeded to the prestigious Federal Government College, Nise for his secondary education where he served as Class Captain, Executive Member of the School Parliament, Executive Member of the Anti-Corruption Club, and Executive Member of the Anglican Chapel. He attended the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University, and Nigerian Law School, Yola, Nigeria for his Law Degree (LL.B) and Professional Program (B.L) respectively afterwhich, he was admitted into the Nigerian Bar. Okeke performed his National Youth Service (NYSC) at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). While in service, he also served as President of the Legal Aid CDS Group at LGA Level and Member of the Central Executive Committee at the LG level, earning the award of Best CDS President. He currently serves as Senior Legal Officer and Deputy Head of the Legal Department at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, where he renders bespoke legal and sundry services. Furthermore, he has served on several key statutory and ad-hoc committees including University Task Force on Security, Public Private Partnership (PPP) Committee, Students’ Disciplinary Committee, ICT Committee, Security and Surveillance Committee, and the Committee to Investigate the Vandalization of the Solar Plant RMU and Line Network. Prior to joining UNIZIK as a Legal Officer, he practiced as Counsel at Chief Olisaeloka Osuigwe, SAN & Co. (Mercy Court), Nnewi, Anambra State, where he gained the rudiments of advocacy. His early legal exposure includes internships at Chief G.U Moneke & Co. (Udoka Chambers), Awka, Anambra State, and Dr. Chukwuemeka Umeh & Co. (Ebenezer Chambers), Awka. Furthermore, Mr. Okeke is a member of several professional organizations. He is a Fellow and Certified Management Consultant of the Institute of Management Consultants, Member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (MICMC), and Certified Management Specialist (CMS) with Distinction from the London Graduate School. He is also a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), where he served as Publicity Secretary and Secretary of the Young Lawyers’ Forum at Branch level. He is equally a Member of the International Law Association (MILA), Member, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), and DO Foundation International (Nigeria), where he served as Publicity Secretary at State level. Beyond his professional and institutional mandate, Okeke contributes to national discourse through media engagement and academic mentorship. He has served as a Resource Person on broadcast media platforms, providing expert analysis on recondite issues of law, policy and governance to promote public understanding and legal literacy. He is also committed to youth development and has served as an instructor to candidates preparing for external examinations like JAMB, WAEC and other allied examinations. In addition, he has delivered keynote addresses to students, including at his alma mater, Federal Government College, Nise, during its Career Day programme. Mr. Okeke has attended several professional conferences, workshops and trainings including the GIZ Course for Lawyers in Nigeria & Ghana organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, NBA Annual Conferences, and Nigeria & International Model United Nations Conferences. His contributions have earned him recognitions including Best of IMUN Certificate, Letter of Recommendation and Visiting Card as a top Official Campus Ambassador, International Model United Nations; Best CDS President NYSC at LGA Level; Community Immunity Ambassador of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates; and Google Local Guide.
