PROFILE OF AMB. (MRS.) OKOROJI, NMA OKECHUKWU Nma Okechukwu Okoroji is a key player in the Agricultural Value Chain in Nigeria with special preference for the Coconut Sub-sector. She witnessed firsthand, as a producer and marketer, the multiple benefits of investing in the Coconut Sub-sector. The desire to ensure that the Coconut Sub-sector becomes a major source of revenue for the Nigerian economy inspired her to play a pivotal role in the formation of NACOPPMAN. Her strong passion to place Nigeria on the Global map through the coconut industry is remarkable. Okoroji, Nma Okechukwu, (fondly called Mama Coconut, Nigeria) is the founding and elected Pioneer National President of the National Coconut Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria (NACOPPMAN), from 2019 till date and also the NACOPPMAN’S Board of Trustee (BOT) Deputy Chairperson. She is a Vice President of the Federation of Agricultural Commodity Association of Nigeria (FACAN). She is currently a lecturer with Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State and the Departmental Student Staff Adviser. She is the member of the Quality Assurance Team of the University and the Secretary, Parent and Guidance Committee, Faculty of Management Sciences and others. Nma is a business coach, relationship counsellor and a trained excellent communicator, facilitator and conference speaker; a certified 50th COCOTECH International Conference presenter at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ghana amongst others. She is an astute entrepreneur and the CEO of Mascon Coconut Farms and Agro-allied Ltd, Mascon Worldwide solutions company Ltd and others. She is an erudite scholar with vast research interest and her publication cut across; Prospect for Coconut Production and Economic Growth in Nigeria; Coconut Investment and Poverty Reduction in Nigeria; Entrepreneurial Development and Employment Generation in Nigeria; Technology Adoption and Coconut Production Among smallholders ’Farmers, Efficiency Performance of Bitter Leaf Farming by Cooperative Members in Anambra State, Nigeria, A Survey of Citizen’s perception of Government Accountability in the Era of Social Media in Nigeria, and others. Nma Okoroji is a member of several professional bodies including; a fellow and a certified Consultant of the Institute of the Management Consultant IMC), Nigeria, Fellow, Institute of Professional Industrialists and Management Development (IPIMD), Senior Member, Institute of Cooperative Professionals of Nigeria (ICOPRON), Associate Member, Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), Certified Trainer, Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN) amongst others. She is that South -South Cooperative Supervisor of African Women Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP). She is a recipient of several awards from different professional bodies which includes; Conferment of Ambassadorial Award as a Senior Citizen of Nigeria by Advance Peace and Conflict Reconciliation Centre of Nigeria in partnership with Security and Forensic Studies, Nigeria, IMS African Business Club Award of Leadership Excellence from the Institute of Management Specialist, UK, African Women Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP),Leadership service Award by Rotary International, National Association of Cooperative Economics and Management Student Award and others. She organizes a yearly empowerment concert from 2012 tagged: "The choir God is Proud of". Pst Nma also host, the Salem Women Empowerment Convention where women and youth are empowered through capacity building and Start up packs to start different businesses. Nma is a minister of the Gospel. She is happily married with a thriving family and the marriage is blessed with two boys and one girl.
