Orajekwe Jerry Chukwuebuka was born and raised in Lagos, from a close knit family with strong social, moral and religious value which imbued him with great leadership skills.

Orajekwe Jerry is a proud member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) which is the most forward-thinking professional accountancy body in the world. At the national level, he is a member of the prestigious Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Jerry holds a master’s degree (Distinction) and bachelors degree (first class honours) in accounting from Nnamdi Azikiwe University. He was at graduation, both a Departmental and Faculty Prize Winner.

He had been a recipient of different academic, religious and social awards during and after his undergraduate studies. 

He is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Accountancy, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.  Prior to joining UNIZIK, he was the chief internal auditor for Stanel group of companies; where he reviewed the group business strategy and evaluated the risk management procedures amongst other things.  He has also worked with River state University and had provided consultancy services to numerous accounting firms, Onitsha business school and EDOWYSE School of professional studies.

In 2020, Jerry volunteered as a field interviewer in an Integrated Behavorial and Biological Surveillance Survey (IBBSS) with the University of Manitoba, Canada. He was also contracted as a research assistant with UNIZIK Business School for a survey on Apprenticeship and Entrepreneurial Behavior among Igbo Traders in Onitsha Market.

Jerry is an ardent researcher and is currently working on articles for publications in both local and international journals.

In his spare time Jerry enjoys playing games, tutoring young people and volunteering for social activities.
