I am Chikwendu Stephen Chilaka. I am from Mbaise. In 2023, I obtained my PhD in sociology. My area of specialisation is criminology, where I have published extensively in cybersecurity and crime, policing and crime and vigilante and community policing. My current research is focused on the importance of cybersecurity for public and private institutions. I have collaborated with various scholars on different research projects. I have also won a 10 million naira grant with my team. I am a member of the Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Association (NASA). Within the university, I have played different roles including being the current ASUU representative for the Faculty of Social Sciences.
