Dr. Ebele Deborah Uba is a Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Anambra State, Nigeria. She is the Treasurer of the Association for Promotion of African Studies (APAS). Dr. Uba also lectures in School of General Studies, School of Postgraduates Studies and Chisco Institute all situated at Nnamdi Azikiwe University. Administratively, Dr. Uba is currently the Examination Officer in the Department of Linguistics, and a member of the University Board on Dress Code Matters. She is also an active member of the University Journal of Arts and Humanities (UJAH) Editorial Board. As an academic, Dr. Uba has published a good number of papers in reputable local and international journals. Dr. Uba is a member of reputable academic bodies- Linguistic Association of Nigeria (LAN), West African Language Society (WALS); Association of Phoneticians and Phonologists Nigeria (APPN) etc. She likes singing, making good friends and getting involved in collaborative academic research.
