Staff Profile
Ifeanyi Augustine Chinwuko (Ph.D.) received a B.Sc. in Geological Sciences, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Applied Geophysics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He is a Lecturer in Applied Geophysics of NAU Awka, where he gives academic lectures and supervises students, as well as involves in active research. Presently, he is at the rank of Lecturer I. Until February 2019, he has been lecturing since 2014 with the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) in the Department of Geological Sciences, where he was promoted to Lecturer I in January 2019, after meeting all the requirements for promotion. He has to his credit several publications in the geosciences with a particular focus on Applied/Exploration Geophysics and Hydrogeology. He has attended several professional short courses/training/workshops/conferences locally and internationally. Ifeanyi has also attracted several research grants and recognitions amongst which are the Institute Based Research Grant in 2017 given by TETFUND. He has been a consultant to Economic Planning and Budget Development of Anambra State (concerning natural resources) since 2016. Ifeanyi has been an editorial member of the International Journal of Science for Global Sustainability (IJSGS) since 2015. He is a registered member of five professional bodies: NMGS, COMEG, NAPE, SEG and AAPG. At his leisure hour, he loves playing football and singing choral music. He is happily married with Children.
