DR. Okore Ikokwu Kalu is a native of Ameke Ututu, Arochukwu local government area, Abia State. He holds a PhD degree (2003) in Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrient Management from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan , Nigeria. Before Joining NAU, Awka, he worked as research scientist at the Rubber Res. Inst.of Nigeria , Benin, Edo State for over 16 years, where he rose to the directorate cadre. He has worked extensively on Biological Soil Fertility and Ecosystem Stability Maintenance under Low External input Intensive cropping systems with over 65 local and international scientific publications ( Journals and peer reviewed conference papers). He is Married with two children.
