Dr. Iloduba Nnaemeka Aghanya is a Medical Microbiologist specialising in Public Health Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. He first graduated with a bachelor's degree in Applied Microbiology, following this he bagged the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery degree, both of which were obtained from Nnamdi Azikiwe University. He is currently a fellow of Pathology at the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
Iloduba has published more than 17 peers reviewed articles in local and international journals.
He has served the institution in several capacities including; examination officer and ICT officer for the Medical Microbiology Department, deputy ICT officer for the Faculty of Medicine and deputy ICT officer for the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences etc.
He is also a member of several academic societies including; Nigerian Society for Infection Control, Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Society of Nigeria, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Research Society, etc.
He has also received several awards, the most recent of which was the award of recognition from the 2021 graduating class as the Overall Best Teacher in the Faculty of Medicine, received on the 16th of July, 2021.
