Staff Profile

Dr Ndu Bibian Okafor was born to the family of Late Ignatius and Martina Nwosu of Umuabu Ihembosi in Ekwusigo L.G. A of Anambra State about Fifty-five years ago. She is happily married to Mr. Ambrose Okafor of Umuofor village Ebenator in Nnewi South L.G.A. Her marriage is blessed with three children: a girl and a set of twins (boys). Dr Ndu attended her primary school at Nupe Square primary school 11 Onitsha, from 1976-1981, and her post-primary education at Famous Ihembosi Girls' Secondary School from 1981-1986. She gained admission into University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1988, where she studied Agricultural Science Education in the Department of Vocational Teacher Education. Her postgraduate studies, M.ED(1996-1998) and Ph.D(2008-2014), were all in Agricultural Education in the same Vocational Education Department of University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Dr. Ndu served the Anambra State Post Primary School Commission (ANPPSC) for twenty-one years (1996-2017) as a senior Agricultural science teacher, teaching Animal Husbandry and Entrepreneurship, and as a Vice Principal (Academics) and Guidance Counselor(2012-2017). Her commitment to work earned her an Award of Certificate of Achievement from the Anambra State Association in the USA(ASA-USA). She voluntarily retired from Anambra State Service in 2017. Dr Ndu was employed as a lecturer in the Department of Vocational Education/ Entrepreneurship in mid-2017. She served as an Exam officer of the Entrepreneurship Studies Department from 2017-2022 and on dual appointment as a lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Education. Dr Ndu specializes in teaching Creativity and Innovation, New Venture Creation, Re-Thinking Traditional Occupation and Agricultural Entrepreneurship to both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Entrepreneurship and Agricultural Education Departments of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Her dedication to duty in Entrepreneurship Department had earned her a GST appointment as a Coordinator of ENT-GST 211 (Entrepreneurship and Innovation)for the 2021/2022, 2022/2023,2023/2024, 2024/2025 and the present 2025/2026 academic sessions. She has about thirty-five publications in local and International Journals, has attended many international/national conferences, and has contributed chapters to many textbooks in her field of study. Dr Ndu is a registered member of Nigerian Vocational and Technical Education Association (AVTEN), Agricultural Educators Teacher Association of Nigeria (AETAN) , Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) and Teahcers Registration Council of Nigeria. (TRCN).
