Dr. Anselm Enwelem Egwunatum is a Forest soil, regeration and conservation ecologist with the Department of Forestry and Wildlife. He was an Assistant Director (Forest regeneration & special conservation services) in the Delta State Ministry of Environment where he designed and implemented forest regeneration/restoration projects before joining the academics. Passionate research interest in carbon de-capitalization via compost formulation and utilization earned him the Hi-PACT (Association of British University) and Delta State Scholarship awards for the MSc and PhD degrees respectively. Special research interest include Environmental conservation; Watershed and Ecosystem rehabilitation using indigenous forest species; Forest carbon indices and assessment; forest floor component analysis and Compost utilization. His current research effort is at intensified study and use of various forest floor components to generate extended minor forest products for pressure reduction on the remnant tropical forest ecosystem in view of sustainable forest management. He has over 50 international and local journal articles/conference papers.
