Dr. Anselm Enwelem EGWUNATUM is a Forest-soil regeneration and reclamation Ecologist with over a decade Post PhD teaching, research & field experience. He was an Assistant Director (Forest regeneration & special conservation services) in the Delta State Ministry of Environment where he designed, competed, won and implemented forest regeneration/restoration UNDP, GEF and World Bank projects on Climate change/Carbon credit scheme/Biodiversity; and Facilitator/ Supervisor and Field trip Coordinator (Environmental Science & Resource Mgt.) in National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Asaba Study Centre. Passionate research interest in carbon de-capitalization and ecosystem sustainability earned him the Hi-PACT (Association of British Universities) and Delta State Scholarship awards for the MSc and PhD degrees in the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom respectively. Special research interest include Environmental & Biodiversity Conservation; Watershed & Ecosystem rehabilitation using indigenous forest species; carbon indices assessment and floor component analysis; and bio-control mechanism. His current research effort is at intensified study and use of various forest components to generate extended minor forest products for pressure reduction and mitigation in forest ecosystem for sustainable forest management. He has over 50 international and local journal articles/conference papers.
