Aloysius Chimezie Adibe is an aquaculture system health management specialist with a PhD in fish diseases from the University of Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom as well as Master of Science in Aquatic Pollution and Toxicology, and a bachelor of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management both from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike. Presently, he is a teaching and research staff in Fisheries and Aquatechnology department of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. His research interests include understanding the dynamics in aqua pollution, microbiology of aquaculture systems and aquatic animal health management. Aloysius has expertise in aquaculture biosecurity, molecular and micro-biology techniques and his research is focused on the application of these techniques to promote improved disease management practices in aquaculture systems. Specifically, towards development of autogenous vaccines to combat fish diseases in African catfish aquaculture systems.
