I am a Senior lecturer and Consultant Radiologist at the Radiology department of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Nnewi Campus / Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria. My special areas of interest are Neuro, Vascular and Breast Radiology. I was affiliated to the Memphys Hospital for Neurosurgery, Enugu (2012 - 2017), an accredited institution for postgraduate training in Neurosurgery and a center for neuro-related research. Responsibility at this Center included the Magnetic Resonance (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) image acquisition, interpretation and reporting for patients with neurological disorders, thus facilitating positive management outcomes. I was also active in neuro-radiological research in partnership with other neuro-specialists at the Center. My involvement in Vascular radiology began during and after my residency training at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan which culminated in the research and publication of an article titled “Carotid Intima Media Thickness (CIMT) Dopplar Ultrasound evaluation among hypertensive adults” based on my Part II Dissertation. I have since spear-headed the promotion of interest and skills acquisition in Doppler ultrasound among resident doctors and consultants in my department. Doppler ultrasound services now routinely available at NAUTH Nnewi is of particular relevance in the evaluation of fetal viability among women with high risk pregnancy, as well as hypertensive patients with propensity for cerebro-vascular accident, cases of suspected renal arterial disorder and diabetics with lower limb peripheral artery disease among others.
I am a member of the NAUTH Breast Tumour Board which comprises of a multidisciplinary team of medical specialists, ably led and involved in research and partnership to facilitate care for patients with breast disease.
