Dr. (Mrs) Stella Omokhefe Bruce is a lecturer, Pharmacist and Researcher in the Department of Pharmacognosy and Traditional Medicine, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State. Nigeria. Her academic background includes Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree (B.Pharm), Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Phytopharmacology. She is an Ambassador of Association for Commonwealth Universities (ACU) for Nnamdi Azikiwe University. She is involved in active research and publications in the following areas: Phytopharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Traditional Medicine, Natural products research, Herbal Medicine, Pharmaceutical research, Biotechnology and molecular biology. She has reviewed so many articles for many international journals which includes Academic Journals (AJ), African Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Scientific Research and Essays, African Journal of Biochemistry Research, African Journal of Biotechnology, European Journal of Medicinal Plants, Asian Journal of Research in Infectious Diseases, Asian Journal of Research in Biochemistry etc, and presented papers in many conferences. She has attended a lot of Scientific meetings and workshops. Dr. Stella .O. Bruce has published Seventeen (17) journal articles and Three (3) book chapter in reputable national and international journals of high impact factors. She has taught different aspect of Pharmacy courses, including Physiology, Pharmacognosy and Traditional Medicine curricula to Pharmacy students and has successfully supervised more than Eighteen (18) Bachelor of Pharmacy project works. Dr. Stella has been the Head of Pharmacy Unit, Medical Centre Agulu from 2014-2017, she was one of the active member of the ASUU Electoral Committee in the just concluded ASUU Branch Election. Currently, she is the Faculty Representative for Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) UNIZIK Chapter, Secretary for Disciplinary committee and Exam Malpractice of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Treasurer for the Nigerian Association of Pharmacists in Academia (NAPA), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK Chapter and secretary of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Disciplinary Committee, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. She was one of the 40 participants of ACU Summer School 2022 held in Leeds Trinity University, United Kingdom from 31 July- 8 August 2022. Dr. Stella is a strong woman and always willing to work, her extra-curricular activities include reading of academic materials, travelling, watching and listening to news, playing scrabble, swimming and dancing.
