Staff Profile

Eze Anoke Eze, PhD Financial Economics, was a practical professional Banker of over 25 years commercial and retail banking experience across West Africa. He attained various Senior Management positions in the Nigerian banking industry as well as held the position of General Manager in First International Bank Liberia Ltd, Monrovia, Liberia before withdrawing his services in December 2011 to complete his PhD Economics programme in the University of Port Harcourt, after having obtained an MSc Economics degree of the same University. he holds a BSC, an MBA and an LLB Law degrees of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is also Associate/Member of various professional organisations like the Nigerian Economic Society, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and the Nigerian Bar Association having been called to the Bar and enrolled as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in November 2013. Having joined the academia in the Department of Economics, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in May 2014, he has been contributing in diverse ways towards the promotion of teaching, research, publications and community service. his current passion is collaborating with like minds to fight poverty through purposeful 'education for living' as opposed to 'education for certification', and wealth creation especially in the real sector of the economy. As a practical academic, his multi tasking, inter disciplinary and cross functional competences are assets for deployment to fashion out synergetic ideas from research to evidence based policy advocacy for sustainable implementation in the educational, not for profit, private and public sectors of the political economy.
