Esther Anyanwu is a native of Imo State, Nigeria. She studied Education/English at Abia State University, Uturu, where she graduated with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) degree. She obtained her Master’s and PhD degrees in English Language from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Dr. Anyanwu is a lecturer in the Department of English at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She has attended numerous academic conferences, both locally and internationally, and has several scholarly publications to her credit. She served as the Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, from 15th March, 2023 to 15th March, 2025. Her research interests include English as a Second Language (ESL), Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, Phonetics, and Phonology. Dr. Esther Anyanwu is an Associate Professor of English.
