Dr. Ikedimma Nwabufo Okeke is a senior lecturer in the Department of Music, Faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He holds a Ph.D. in Music Pedagogy from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He is an alumnus of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained a BA in Linguistics. He has a PGD in Music and MA in Music Pedagogy both from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Dr. Okeke’s areas of interest revolve around music theory, musicianship studies, keyboard studies, school music methods, and Instrumental music pedagogy which involves principles of teaching and learning musical instruments. He has taught in several schools raising instrumental groups and various musical ensembles with commendable results.
He has attended many academic conferences and has many academic publications in respectable local and international journals.
Dr. Okeke is a Senior Pastor in Good News Fellowship International (GNFI) Nigeria, a Senior Research Fellow of the Center for Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (CEMRI), Finland; a member of the Association of Nigerian Musicologists (ANIM).
