Staff Profile

Austine Okere is a qualitative and quantitative researcher with fieldwork experience in socio-economic development policy analysis and evaluation. His research area is the politics of sustainable development in Africa, international political economy and economic history. He is interested in evaluating state-led processes for trade and integration while exploring their potentials and impact on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He is a member of African Economic History Network, African Policy Conversations, Trade Policy Research Forum and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy. Austine is a Columnist for Impakter and a member of the Global Research Network  He holds a PhD in International Political Economy from Shandong University, China as well as Masters Degrees in Development Studies and Economic History from University of Nigeria and Nnamdi Azikiwe University respectively.
