Dr. Nneka Ihuoma Esomonu is a Lecturer at the Department of Sociology/Anthropology Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in Anambra State Nigeria. She holds a Ph.D. in Medical Sociology; M.Sc. in Medical Sociology; and a B.Sc. in Sociology/Anthropology, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. A member of International Sociological Association (ISA), Association for Fertility and Reproductive Health (AFRH), and Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Practitioners Association (NASA). She is a scholar and researcher who has scholarly works to her credit in both national and international journals. She teach, grades and supervises full-time and part-time undergraduates at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. Her area of specialization is Medical Sociology with research interest in Sociology of Health, Reproductive Technologies, Conflict Studies, Gender, Women, and Society.
