Staff Profile

My name is Dr Lotachukwu Loveth Amalukwue. I became a member of staff of this university on 12th March, 2012 as a Higher Executive Officer, CONTISS 07. I was posted to the School of Postgraduate Studies where I assumed duty. My staff identification number is SS-2849. In June 2014, I was converted to Administrative Assistant on CONTISS 07. I had my first promotion to Administrative Officer in 2017. I was again converted to Assistant Lecturer in the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts in August, 2019 and a year after, I was upgraded to Lecturer 11 in the same Department and Faculty. 

I obtained my doctorate degree (PhD) in October, 2023 from the department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka . My areas of specialization include Oral Literature, African Literature (Poetry), Postcolonial Literature and Creative Writing. I lecture Regular and CEP students and equally supervise their degree projects. I equally teach postgraduate students (Literature stress). I have successfully taught and graded postgraduate students (Masters) in Eng 881 Modern European Literature in 2024/2025 session. Hopefully, I will take them again this session (2025/2026) in Eng 866 Theories and Forms of Oral Literature. I have two postgraduate supervisees who are yet to present their proposal. I have eight published articles in journals (one is at the stage of blind peer review). I have attended Workshops and Conferences. I have professional certificate in administration (ASCON Certificate). I belong to professional bodies like the Literary Society of Nigeria (LSN) and The Association for the Promotion of African Studies (APAS). I am a member of different committees in my department and faculty. My hobbies are reading, writing and listening to music.
