Chikodili Gladys Anaukwu is an Environmental Microbiologist with the Department of Applied microbiology and Brewing. She is an experienced lecturer with 10+ years of experience in onsite and virtual class room teaching of undergraduate and graduate students in life science courses. She is a passionate researcher with a broad range of research experiences covering ecology, biotechnology, environmental and public health, food safety and bioremediation, and has passion for sustainable environment. The ecological studies of polluted environment utilize metagenomic analysis to understudy the microbiome of the environment and informs on the remediation approach to be employed. Chikodili has conducted insitu and ex-situ bioremediation of crude oil polluted soil. She has conducted research projects with several students, and collaborated with several researchers both local and international. Chikodili is also a good data analyst of research and organizational data with knowledge of SQL, MS excel and power BI. A goal-getter, result-oriented and a good team player.
