Dr. Ifeoma MaryJane Iloamaeke is a Reader at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra
State, Nigeria, in the Department of Pure and Industrial Chemistry. She graduated from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Pure and Industrial Chemistry in 2001, a Master of Science
(MSc) in Physical Chemistry in 2012, and a PhD in Physical Chemistry in 2018. Her curious and problem-solving attitude led her to study Chemistry, which paved the way for her current work. Physical and Environmental Chemistry is her area of expertise. She has successfully supervised undergraduate, post-graduate diploma, and master's degree theses. She is resourceful, innovative, assertive, and organized, which has helped her advance quickly in her career. Ifeoma's research focuses on the utilization of bio-materials to shield metals from corrosion, biodiesel production from agro-wastes, production of surfactant from natural sources as an alternative and industrial effluent treatment. She is currently working on the quantum study of corrosion inhibition of mild steel using organic materials. Dr Ifeoma has written and co-written 29 journal articles and books. Presently, she is the Departmental Coordinator for the Student Industrial Working Scheme (SIWES) and also the Financial Secretary for the Anambra State Chapter of the Chemical Society of Nigeria. She is a member of professional organizations such as the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Materials, Science and Technology, and the Nigerian Institute of Charted Chemists (ICCON) among others. Ifeoma enjoys reading, writing, and sports like volleyball and hiking. She is married with four children.
