Dr. Ihim, Augustine Chinedu hails from Umuokwaoba Eluama Owere-ebeiri, Orlu L.G.A. Imo State. He has Ph.D. Degree in Chemical Pathology as his core area. Dr. Ihim has attended and facilitated many workshops and training both within and outside the country. He is an erudite scholar, a Certified Malariologist, a university don, and an excellent medical research fellow with over 60 scientific findings published in the most revered International Journals. This has endeared and earned him many awards, notable among the awards is ‘An honor from the International Organisation of Scientific Research Community of Researchers.’ He is an editorial board member Tropical Journal of Medical Research and the Africa Journal of Medical and Allied Sciences. Dr. Ihim has been fully involved in the peer review of manuscripts for national and international journals. He is currently a senior lecturer in Medical Laboratory Science Department Nnewi, Campus, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Anambra State. He has won research grants from national and international agencies. In the course of his rise to stardom, Dr. Ihim had served in various capacities at Nnamdi Azikiwe University as a post-graduate chemical Pathology specialty Coordinator, Medical Laboratory science undergraduate chemical Pathology specialty examination officer, Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and e-library coordinator for Medical Laboratory Science Department Nnewi, Campus. Dr. Ihim was instrumental in establishing the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nnewi Campus. He is a member of a plethora of International Federation of Clinical Chemists, International Federation of Clinical Chemist, Health and Care Professions Council United kingdom, Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria., International Association of Public Health Logisticians, American Society of Microbiologists, and Association of Clinical Chemists of Nigeria. He is also a resource personnel for the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN )for accreditation and inspection of medical laboratory institutions and facilities. He is the founder and consultant to Reene Medical Diagnostic Laboratory, Histology, ECG, ultrasonography, digital X-rays, and Research Centre, an accredited secondary diagnostic facility located at 50 Nwaziki Avenue Awada with PML NO 1103. He has served as a resource person and participated in Planning meetings for the National Food Consumption and Micronutrient Survey for the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture Ibadan Nigeria and was South East logistician, and cold chain supervisor for National Food Consumption and Micronutrient Survey from 8th January-June 30, 2021. He is an ardent member of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria, Sacred Heart Society, and the founder of Sacred Heart Society in Annunciation Seminary, Amaudara, Abia state in 1986. He is happily married to his beautiful wife Mrs. Ihim, Maureen Chinenye, and their union is blessed with four children.
