Dr Brian O Ogbonna currently works at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Management, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He is a Clinical Pharmacist with interest in Pharmacy Practice, Public Health, Clinical Trials, Health Services and Outcome research. He has conducted research in these areas with a range of quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques. His current research includes evidence based synthesis (Systematic Reviews, meta-synthesis, meta-analysis and meta-regression), and estimating the burden of diseases in Africa.He is a visiting scholar with the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists and has successfully mentored and supervised undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship students. He is a Research Consultant to CHEORS Solution LLC Pennsylvania, USA; 2018- till date, Resource Consultant to the Pharmacotherapy and Evidence-Based Research Group of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Enugu. He is a winner of many grants: International Pharmaceutical Federation Postdoctoral Grant, FIP/PharmaBridge travel grant to Howard University Washinghton DC, 2018, PharmaBridge travel grant to University of North Carolina USA, 2017, $2500 USD publication grant by Malaria Journal, 2014, Dove Medical Press $2900 USD publication grant by Integrated Pharmacy Research and Practice- 2015, and TET-FUND Grant on Type-2 Diabetes Research -2021. He is an external examiner to Igbinedion University Okada, Madona University Elele, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, and a couple of others universities. Brian is an Editorial Board Member to: Value in Health, Journal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice, Universal Journal for Pharmaceutical Research (UJPR), PLOS-ONEBMC Health Service Research, International Journal of Pharmaceutical Research, NAPA Scientific Journal, etc. He has served in various capacities as: postgraduate coordinator, Head of Department, Sub-Dean, Dean, and resource person in several local and international fora.
