Rev Fr Professor Ikenga Kenneth Emeka ORAEGBUNAM is formerly Head, Department of International Law and Jurisprudence (2015-2019), Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Nigeria. He was, at different times, Deputy Director of Special Projects in the University, and Postgraduate Sub-Dean for the Faculty of Law, NAU. He has been a Professor of Law and Applied Jurisprudence since 1st October 2018. He is the Director of TETFund Matters/Chairman,TETFund Implementation Committee; and Coordinator of Religious Festivities/Events in the University. Ikenga is formerly General Secretary of Nigeria Association of Law Teachers (NALT). He holds First Class Honours (BPhil) in Philosophy of the Urban University Rome, Italy, and First Class Honours (BA) of the University of Uyo, Nigeria. He bags 3 PhDs respectively in Civil Law (majoring in Criminal Jurisprudence); Philosophy of Human Rights Law; and Religion and Society (with particular reference to Islam and Human Rights). Ikenga has MEd degree of the Institute of Advanced Philosophy for Children, Montclair State University, New Jersey, USA. Among other creative outputs, he has published in learned journals over 250 scholarly articles in the fields of Law, Jurisprudence, Philosophy, Religion, Education, and Christian Theology. Professor Oraegbunam has attended and presented papers in many academic conferences around the world. He was the Editor-in-Chief of 'Nnamdi Azikiwe University Journal of International Law and Jurisprudence' from 2012 to 2019. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of 'International Review of Law and Jurisprudence', 'International Journal of Comparative Law and Legal Philosophy', 'International Journal of Law and Clinical Legal Education', 'Law and Social Justice Review,' 'African Customary and Religious Law Review', and 'Nigerian Journal of Theology'. He is also the Managing/General Editor of both 'African Journal of Law and Human Rights' and 'African Journal of Criminal Law and Jurisprudence'. He teaches Jurisprudence and Legal Theory, Comparative Criminal Law, Comparative Corporate Law, Arbitration Law, International Migration Law, International Humanitarian Law, Nigerian Legal System, Legal Research Methodology, and Logic and Philosophical Thought. Professor Oraegbunam has successfully supervised to completion 15 PhD dissertations and 15 LLM theses. He is External Examiner to many universities in Nigeria and beyond and belongs to many academic and professional bodies (NALT, NBA, CATHAN, A'EMAPP,etc). He has assessed a good number of academics for promotion to the ranks of reader and professor. He is formerly Member, Governing Council of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Nigeria (2019-2022). Ikenga Oraegbunam hails from Nteje, Oyi LGA, Anambra State. He has served/is serving in various Church, State and University committees. He is a Legal Adviser and Clergyman with the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, Nigeria; and a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is the President, International Centre for Law and Democracy Studies (ICLDS). Currently,Prof Ikenga Ken Oraegbunam is representing Senate in the 10th Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
