My name is Dr. Ebere Yvonne Nwamaka Ihegihu and I am an Associate Professorof Orthopaedic Rehabilitation with over twenty years experience in Therapeutic Exercises, Electro Physical Modalities and Manual therapy. I am a highly motivated individual with exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills. I am able to communicate effectively and sensitively with patients and care givers to maximize the rehabilitation of patients and to ensure understanding of often complex clinical issues impacting on recovery. In addition, I have the ability to work closely with other health care professionals to assess patients’ needs and devise suitable treatment plans for them.
I am the immediate past Head of Department of Medical Rehabilitation, Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Nnewi Campus (January 2022- January2024). As a University Reader, my scholarly skills make me adept in impacting the same in my undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation.
Furthermore, as a Rehabilitation manager, my management skills are seen in my ability to harness the hidden potentials in members of my clinical and academic team.
