Dr Iruoma Amaka Ugoo-Okonkwo is a Lecturer in the Department of Music, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. She obtained from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Music (Voice Performance option). She later bagged a Master of Arts (M.A) degree and a Doctoral degree (Ph.D) both in Music Pedagogy from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Dr Ugoo-Okonkwo has published works in learned journals and has musical compositions to her credit including the Unizik High School Anthem. She had served as Choirmaster to various choral groups and currently the Choirmaster at Church of the Pentecost (Anglican Communion), Awka. She is successfully married and the marriage is blessed with four children.
