Staff Profile

I, Chinwe R. Ezeifeka, am Associate Professor of English at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. I hold a dual Fellowship of the American Council of Learned Societies/African Humanities Program (ACLS/AHP) – 2008/2009 Dissertation-Completion Fellow, and 2011/2012 Early Career Postdoctoral Fellow. I have published many articles and book chapters in national and international journals and have also attended many national, regional and international conferences in my various areas of specialisation. I have authored the following books:: Discourse Analysis: Concepts and Approaches (2018), English Grammatical Structures and Models of Analysis (2018). The Craft of English Composition Writing (2021). I teach Advanced English Composition I and II, Modern English Grammar and Usage, Language and Society, Semantics and Systemic Functional Grammar at the undergraduate level; while at the postgraduate level, I teach Advanced Discourse Analysis and Language and Gender. My research interests/areas of specialisation include: Discourse Analysis, Critical Discourse Analysis, Feminism and Gender Studies, Pragmatics, Semantics, Sociolinguistics and Systemic Functional Grammar.
