Professor Mbanefo Stephen Ogene is a Professor of Comparative Literature, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. A lover of mankind and Christ, he teaches with every sense of devotion and candor. Known for humility and simple lifestyle, he has supervised a number of PhD, Masters and many undergraduate students. He is a native of Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria and has had his studies in different Nigerian universities and over seas. Currently the Head of Department of English and Literary Studies of NAU Awka, Prof Mbanefo Ogene has at different times served as External Examiner to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Ebonyi State University, Abakiliki, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, igbariam and others. He is happily married to one wife and has children blessed by God. He has served as the Chapter President of Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International, Umudioka Awka, Chairman, Men's Ministry, Chapel of Glory, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, as well as Prayer Cell Coordinator of Amansea and Odoagba Prayer Cells. Prof Ogene has authored some books and many articles within and ouside Nigeria.
