I am Prof. Enoch Ajunwa of the Department of Modern European Languages, Faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. I hail from Otampa Village in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State of Nigeria. EDUCATION I had my primary education at Otampa Community Primary School, my secondary education at Isuikwuato High School and my tertiary education at the University of Benin, Benin City, l’Université de Grenoble, France and University of Nigeria Nsukka. . ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS WITH DATES My academic qualifications include the following: 1. WASC (First Division) 1974; 2. Diplôme d’Études Françaises (Université de Grenoble, France) 1980 ; 3. Diplôme Supérieur d’Études Françaises (Université de Grenoble, France) 1980 ; 4. B.A. (Hons) French, Second Class Upper (UIBEN), 1981; 5. Postgraduate Diploma in Education (UNN) 1984; 6. M.A. French Language and Translation (UNIBEN) 1990; 7. Ph.D. French Language and Translation (UNN) 2008. WORK HISTORY (i) Newscaster with the former East Central Broadcasting Service (ECBS) (1975); (ii) Clerical Officer at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (1975/76); (iii) Youth Corps Lecturer at the former Oyo State College of Education, Ilesha (1981/82); (iv) Lecturer at the former College of Education Nsugbe, now Nwafor Orizu College of Education, while occupying different posts such as Head of Department of French and Dean of School of Languages (1982-2005); (v) Transfer of service as Lecturer to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (2005 to date). I was promoted Professor in 2015. I proceeded on a three-year leave of absence in 2017, to Hezekiah University, Umudi, where I was engaged as Vice-Chancellor. CREATIVE OUTPUT My creative output includes novels, textbooks, chapters in books, and many journal articles published in local, national and international journals. His postdoctoral research interest is in the area of the neological enrichment of the Igbo language (his endangered mother tongue) through applied translation and Igbo lexicography.
