Prof.Evangeline Njideka Onuigbo is a professor of geology in the department of Geological Sciences, Faculty of Physical Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria.She got her B.Sc degree in Geology from the University of Calabar, Nigeria in 1998. Her M.Sc degree in Petroleum Geology|Exploration Geophysics and Ph.D in Sedimentology and Stratigraphy were obtained from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She has attended many conferences and workshops and has over thirty publications in learned journals (both national and international)in areas of sedimentology, stratigraphy, petroleum geology, palynology, hydrogeology, geochemistry etc. Prof. Evangeline Onuigbo has won numerous awards notably:TETFund National Research Fund (NRF), TETFund Institutional Based Research (IBR)Grant, Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship award, award of excellence in reviewing by the Journal of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences International among others. She is also an editor and reviewer in academic journals. She has successfully supervised many undergraduates and post graduate students and equally serving as external assessor outside her university. Prof. Evangeline Onuigbo is a member of Nigeria Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS), Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE) and Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG). She has served her university and society in many capacities.
