Professor Josiah C. Okonkwo holds a B. Agric. (Animal Science) and M. Sc. (Animal Breeding & Genetics) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He was trained in agricultural biotechnology at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Rehovot, Israel, and obtained his PhD from Delta State University, Abraka. He joined Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in September, 2005 as Lecturer 11, and was promoted to the rank of Professor on October 1, 2017. His research activities covered the areas of animal breeding and Genetics, Animal Physiology and Animal Biotechnology.
