Engr. Dr. Patrick Sunday Aguh is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Industrial / Production Engineering at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He had his foundation education at Egbengwu Primary School, Nimo. From there he proceeded to the prestigious St. Michael's Secondary School, Nimo where he obtained his WAEC Certificate in 1982. He earned his B. Eng. Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering from Anambra State University of Technology (ASUTECH) in 1988, and M. Tech. in Production Technology (Electro Mechanical Technology) at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 2004. Prior to going to graduate school for Masters Degree, Engr. Dr. Aguh worked at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife "a panorama of Africa's most beautiful campus" as a youth corper. After his one year mandatory national youth service, Engr. Dr. Aguh worked in a number of establishments (both private and governments). From 1990 TO 1994 Engr. Dr. Aguh worked as a Mechanical Engineer in ANES Industries Limited, Onitsha and as a Maintenance Engineer at Vico Agro-Allied Industries Limited, Omogho. In July 1994, Engr. Dr. Aguh was employed at Anambra State Directorate of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA). During his stay in the agency, he had an in-service training at Steyr Nigeria Limited Bauchi, where he was expertly trained in technical services, maintenance and repairs of Steyr tractor model 8075 agricultural aggregates. In the cause of time, in 2001 NALDA and two other agencies, Petroleum (Special) Trust Fund (PTF) and Family Economic Advancement Programme (FEAP) were defunct. With their scrapping and deployment of their staff, Engr Dr. Aguh was absorbed in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD). He was in the ministry till 2005 when he joined the teaching profession. He was employed in the Department of Production Technology of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He taught engineering courses and has gained experience in teaching / research. Currently Engr. Dr. Aguh is in the Department of Industrial / Production Engineering from where he obtained his Ph.D in Industrial / Production Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineering) in the year 2016.
Engr. Dr. Aguh has authored or co-authored papers in several Journals of Science, Engineering and Technology. He is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), member Nigerian Institute of Industrial Engineers (NIIE) and a certified (Registered) Mechanical Engineer by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
