Staff Profile

Geraldine Ifesinachi Nnamdi-Eruchalu is a Professor of stylistics. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in English at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in Anambra State, before proceeding to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu State where she got her PhD in English and Literary Studies. She teaches, supervises and mentors students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research interests include stylistics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics and discourse Analysis. Currently, she is researching on African Studies, with a slant on Oral Literature and African Culture. She is the author of An Introduction to General Linguistics. She is also well published in peer-reviewed indexed local and international journals, and has presented papers in national and international conferences. Geraldine I. Nnamdi-Eruchalu was the Head of the Department of English Language and Literature of the University from July 2016 to September 2019.
