Alvan-Ikoku Okwudiri Nwamara Ph.D. is a Professor of African Musical Arts Composition, Theory and Performance at the Department of Music, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He is a Nigerian from Umumba-Nsirimo in Umuahia South of Abia State. He is one of Nigeria's finest composers and performers of art music (majorly choral) and dance band music. He has many scholarly books, articles and discographies to his credit. He is fondly called De Music Oracle by friends, associates, colleagues, fans and admirers.
