I am a professor of haematology with a post doctoral fellowship in the genomics and proteomics of sickle cell disease from the University of Duke, Durham, USA. I have worked and published on the MYH9 gene and how it is associated with phenotypes in sickle cell disease nephropathy. l am still working actively in the field of sickle cell disease phenotypes and its associations
