Solomon Chukwuka Nwigbo is a professor of Mechanical Engineering at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka with research interest in mechanical Systems design and optimization. This covers some related areas such as: Solid mechanics, Materials technology, manufacturing systems design and new product design. I have in the past few years attracted some research grants to the university which include: The upscale of the induction foundry project to the tone of $200,000. A co researcher in TETFUND NRF grant in commercial scale Chrysichthys fish production etc. My University administrative experience is rich. i was Dean, Faculty of engineering (2023 to 2025). Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering (2019 to 2020) and Director in different university establishments. I have graduated eight (8) Doctoral scholars, 20 M.Sc and more than 100 undergraduate project students.
