Dr Sir George Elochukwu Onwudiwe  is currently a Reader and Lecturer in the Dept of Igbo, African and Communication Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. His area of  specialisation is Phonetics and Phonology, and has carried out his major research in Sociolinguistics, Applied Linguistics and Igbo phonology. His research interest is in Dialectoloy, Igbo Syntax and Ethnolinguistics. He has published many books and book chapters, as well as over twenty five articles in reputable Journals. He  has been appraised for the rank of Professor and is currently  undergoing external assessment.
